The hotel was great

If you could have a greater ability to darken the rooms. I just had a difficult time sleeping, despite the bed being comfortable.

There was air conditioning and a balcony in our room. The overall vibe of the room was nice, although it could use some refreshing. The lady from the cleaning service was polite and helpful. Breakfasts were okay - cakes were particularly good, but overall the meals may get repetitive after a week of stay and the coffee was not very good. The hotel is located in quiet and peacful area, although a bit far from the city centre and a good 10-15 min walk from the nearest bus / tram station.

When we first arrived, we found out that there is no bathroom door in our room... Supposedly the previous guests broke them. In addition, the room was not very pleasent - worn out, with dirty and cracked walls, smelly wardrobe and dresser, and I even found a big fat spider in the bathroom. Thankfully, they gave us a different room the next morning, as it freed up and they couldn't fix the missing door. The other room was fortunately much better, less worn and cleaner, although it could still use some renovation - the mini-fridge was barely working and the curtains rod looked like it was going to fall. What's more, I paid in advance for the entire week of parking - and to my surprise, when we came back to the hotel after our trip on the first day, the space was taken. They went on with apologies and assured it was a mistake on their end and even offered us their private garage instead until the space frees up. However, on the one before last day of our stay, after I already moved my car back to the rented spot, I encountered another guest that was in similar situation - they let him reserve a parking spot that was already taken by me. So, apparently, this is a common practice and they keep overbooking parking spots hoping for additional unfair earnings? Also, the youg guy at the reception, who 'mistakenly' rented the same parking spot to two different people at the same time, not once but twice during the same week, was very unprofessional. He kept playing video games openly on the computer at the reception desk, was constantly wearing headphones, and generally not paying a lot attention to his job.
