Beautiful setting, good Wi-Fi, very accommodating rooms and would recommend to anyone in the area.

Loved the two separate bedrooms. We did have a few issues trying to figure out a few things but host was always available. I was not familiar with this type of entry door, learning experience, but to lock it, you have to lift the handle up! If you want to use the hot tub, there are instructions to fill it yourself…another learning experience! Also no instructions on how to use the convection stove/oven…

We booked this family room specifically because it had a washer and dryer…however, no one, even the host, could figure out how to dry (even extensive internet searches) and we ended up having to hang our wet clothes. Needed more instructions on how to use everything to save a bit of frustration😀 Lack of towels…one bath towel for each of us only: no small face towel or floor/rug so floors were wet and slippery for use.

Overall: perfect location

Perfect spot to explore the south west away from the golden circle. Very nice host with good recommendations. Hot tub that was waiting for us. Very comfy atmosphere inside and amazing view of the surroundings and volcano

Bit more kitchen stuff like more knives, can opener etc. minor things 😎😎

Mountain View.

We stayed 2 nights in June. It was great for access to Landmannalaugar , with a breathtaking view of Hekla. And a hot tub in front of the decking. It is like a mountain hut style accommodation with bunk beds which would suit a family of 4 - modernised to a high standard with some tasteful touches. We loved the flowers in the pot outside. We loved the feeling of isolation with stunning views and particularly like that the owner stopped by to check all was ok and to have a chat.

Easy acces. Clean.

Usually in this kind of places you have to leave the cabin quite clean. In this place is tell you to clean the dishes you use (normal), even that used for breakfast, put them into the cupboard, you have to clean and fill up yoursell the tub and empty it after you finish, you have to make the beds even the quilks, unmake the beds and leave the sheets and the unmake quilks into different places before you leave,... There was not coffemaker, not microwave, not hairdryer.

Nice staff, clean and well equipped.

It would be perfect if it offers made up beds, a floor towel and a hairdryer. I was cut by a sharp screw in the top bunk and the staff promised to fix it.

Clean cabin in a quiet location with a great view

The two cabins are located in a quiet area with a beautiful view. The interior was as described, we did not miss anything. Everything was very clean and we felt very comfortable. The host even came by personally to bring the receipt and we had a nice chat. Check-in was via a key box and super easy. Also using the hottub was very uncomplicated. We would definitely come back again and stay here!

Comfortable Accommodation

The location is a little more out of the way than I expected, but we were exploring a few things that direction the next morning, so it wasn't too bad. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The hot tub was easy to fill and had clear instructions. The host came over 10-15 minutes after we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed, and chatted for a bit, which was nice because it is always great to get a local perspective on things.

Easy check in and very responsive host. Great location

Some of the electrical seemed a little bit outdated. With some small upgrades I think the property will truly be amazing! That being said we really enjoyed our stay .. we had everything we needed!

Basic but ok

Location is perfect as base to landmannalaugar. Peaceful in the middle of nature. Hottub is fantastic. Cosy interior

On booking they state 1 house with 1 bedroom: the whole cabin is about 20m2 everything in 1 room. With 4 it would certainly feel cramped. Beds are hard and cracking when turning in your sleep. At this price making the beds ourselves, taking them’down again and folding the duvet in the bag again, should be included. Price/quality could be better. For that price we had a luxurious appartment in Reykjavik with 2 bedrooms.

Superb

A stunningly beautiful location! Just two cottages with a hot pool in between. After checkin (which was very easy and conveniently via key box), we made a side trip to Landmannalaugar and came back very late, still the owner dropped by for a chat and asked if everything was ok. Such a nice gesture! We spent the rest of the night in the hot pool and watched the breathtaking landscape.

If you are very big (like me and my roommate 1.90 and 1.93 meters), the beds can be a bit short.

Exceptional

The location is beautiful, on a farm beside a stream surrounded by fields of flowers. The host was very kind and accommodating. The hot tub was nice after a long day of hiking.

I like d the house location (it is good if you travel from south to Highlands. The region is very still.

As expected, simple cottage, clean with all necessary equipment, hot tub and gaz grill as big bonus. Very well placed for daily trips. We spent two nights in the cottage, family of 4, and visited Landmannalaugar, Gjáin and Háifoss.

The place is located in a farm with cows around. The owner came over to say hi. We chatted a little bit.

The plugs went off in the morning maybe it’s overloaded because we were doing breakfast but we didn’t have time to deal with it and luckily we had the other room that we can use to boil the water.
