Very clean, 6min to the station
The rules…dorms need to be quite after 9pm which I totally understand because visitors here usually get up early to explore the surrounding area, but somehow people don’t go to the public area, so this place is not good if you want to make friends in a hostel, it’s not a right place.

If you want a nice guest house experience in Takayama, you should come to this place! Staff was really polite, the room had everything you need, there was also a kitchen in the facility with free tea and coffee

The private room was amazing and the shared amenities were very clean. For big groups they have lots of games and the place is very vibey. When my shoes got wet they also gave me something to dry them and slippers to wear outside

This guesthouse had friendly staff and a nice common area. They had a lot of free information about things to do in Takayama. I only stayed here one night while moving between other accomodations. Didn't love that the showers were on a different floor to my dorm but they were clean and at least there was a back staircase so you didn't have to walk through the main lobby on the way.
I have stayed in probably hundreds of hostels and this is the first one that has ever allowed children in the dormitory rooms.
