About this bed and breakfast
Wayne and Tina had the great pleasure of taking on The Greyhound Inn in February 2014, since then they have refurbished all 10 guest rooms including new private bathrooms, refurbished the exterior including a new color scheme, new signage, and adorne.

Breakfast was spoilt by a rude member of staff who announced very loudly and unpleasantly that we were late & the chef might not cook us any breakfast. We had been asked what time we wanted breakfast & we said 10am - we were not told that was the cut off time. Due to all the driving I was in pain as I suffer from arthritis & I was very slow to get moving that morning. We got downstairs about ten minutes late & were about to apologise when we were greeted by this rude member of staff. If she had quietly explained the situation it would have been acceptable. However, other diners heard & raised their eyes - it was embarrassing and soured the whole stay with them. Breakfast was served - she came back & said the chef would cook us something which we obviously thanked her for. The member of staff who then served us was very pleasant but her colleague had created an atmosphere which we were uncomfortable with.
The food was acceptable for breakfast.
We had dinner with a friend the night of our stay. Two fish & chips were ok. I had catch of the day which was, understandably, expensive. The fish was ok but the bacon lardons were like bullets & the parmentier potatoes were bland & a bit hard. The meal was not worth the price tag.
The pudding which we shared was nice. The alcohol - wine and beer - was very expensive compared to a lot of other restaurants. All in all, not a great start to our stay but we didn’t say anything as we had a guest with us and didn’t want to embarrass anyone. Had we known what was going to happen about breakfast the next morning, we probably would have said something!!
