We stayed at Annie's BnB for the second time on the night of 7 Sept 2026 having stayed there four years ago on a trip North. For us, it is a perfect stopping place about 3hr into a long journey. The location on SH1 and ease of getting there are perfect. In spite of this the cottage is set back from the main road and is quiet.
The hosts, Annie and Peter, are generous and friendly and they've put a lot of thought into setting up the cottage. It's extremely well-appointed and they've thought of absolutely everything. A few examples are four forms of coffee (endless varieties of tea), make-up remover wipes, hand cream and torches on each side of the bed, but really the list is seemingly endless. The bed was soft and we got a good night's sleep. Weather permitting, there is a private outdoor seating area for an afternoon or evening glass of wine and a quiet read.
We were served a generous and delicious cooked breakfast by our hosts, which set us up nicely for another day of travel. We cannot stress enough how impressed we were with the wonderful attention to detail.

A very warm welcome was received, we were shown around the dwelling, showing us where things were.
The dwelling was extremely clean and tidy, with all the comforts of home.
Breakfast was delivered on time and was excellent !!
There is not one thing I could describe that we didn't like - it was perfect !
