It was very convenient and hone cozy! The staff was soo lovely and it was clean and quiet which I really liked.
The room got insanely hot without ac, so every night I had to keep the doors open for a few hours before sleep because there is no ventilation.

The kitchen inside the room is well equipped: even the microwave which is a rare find across Weligama. The room is bright with lots of lightning coming through. The host is welcoming. The water is free. Nice common area. And amazing location in quiet area!
The property is well worn. Even my bedsheets had holes in it. Because it’s the first floor I was always fighting spiders, ants and even gecko who came couple of times through the AC (how?). The door, which is also the window, is located that way that everybody can see what you do inside - it was uncomfortable when going to the bathroom. And after 6:30 the light from the toilet made it impossible to sleep. For me it was not a problem, bc I get up early to surf, but keep in mind. Lastly, no washing machine was available (laundry only).

The location was good because it was at a backstreet and away from the main road. The kitchenette was convenient for cooking. The tap water is drinkable. Toiletries were provided. The shampoo and soap smelled really good. The shower has a heater. Utensils were provided in the kitchenette. The aircon worked well. The hosts were friendly and nice. There is also a water dispenser outside for guests who don't drink tap water.
The place needs maintenance. The spatula was burned so I had to scrape off the melted parts to make it flat again. There are two outlets in the kitchenette but only one works for the refrigerator, electric kettle and oven so basically you have to unplug one of the appliances just to use one. There isn't a rice cooker, a rice cooker would have been convenient. The refrigerator was a little dirty. The front wall of the kitchenette isn't painted, its just rough bare concrete. Same in the bathroom, 40 perfect of the bathroom walls isn't painted or tiled up but the walls are smooth. There are gecko droppings on some parts of the walls because they come in through the bathroom window same with the ants. The place is dusty because of construction, they are expanding the property adding more rooms and stuff. One day the owner of the property told me that I should turn of the aircon from time to time to give it a rest since it's running 24 hours. That never happened in my life where the owner or manager of a hotel or apartment tells me to shut off the air conditioner. That didn't seem right since I'm the customer who paid for a room with aircon. I told him I turn it off whenever I go out. It didn't make sense when he told me that I should turn off the aircon because I paid to stay in an aircon room.
