It was quiet, yet very close to the beach

Spacious rooms, great swimming pool, calm and quiet for a good sleep. There is a brand new huge gym nearby and 3 excellent supermarkets so it’s good if you want to make your own breakfast as they have a fridge in the room and crockery. Short walk to the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We arrived tired and boiling hot from a long journey and they asked us to pay the entire bill before check in. When I asked could I go get cash and pay later the SAME day they said no, we had to pay right now, so we had to walk in 35 degrees to a nearby cash machine. Credit card is possible but only with a surcharge. They also require THB 2,000 deposit in cash only which is very inconvenient if you’re leaving Thailand after your stay and get stuck with all this cash. No option to do deposit via credit card. We had a huge discussion with them about it and they eventually agreed to return our deposit a day early so we could spend the cash, but this isn’t a customer friendly policy. In 6 months of traveling around developing countries we never had this experience, despite them telling us it’s standard in Phuket.
