staff was very friendly and they communicated by what's app we had a room on the second floor which was great.the room was very comfortable clean and quiet. it was nice to sit on the balcony.
I didn't like that they gave 2 small water bottles a day. I would have preferred that they have a water system where we could refill our bottles a system that we saw another hostel on the island using.. even if there was a charge. as beautiful as Koh mook is, there is garbage everywhere.

A ten minute walk to most food options and also the pier ( if you take the coast path), good a/c and fridge, with the standard 'firm' bed that is common in Thailand. Free tea and coffee all day, and daily water too!
The resort is great for booking tours and taxis, and the lady who manages it is lovely too, really helpful, and lots of communication by either email or WhatsApp! , they also have the cheapest beers on the island that we found too! Also it's about a 35 min walk to sunset beach which is a must do if you visit this island.
There are no issues we found about smile at all, however the surrounding area has lots of rubbish around, but this seems to be a standard for Koh mook and many other smaller Thai islands, which is a shame as with some effort by whoever gets the money from the national park fees that are charged everywhere, I'm sure that a cleanup could be arranged! Koh mook is a paradise island, but could be so much better.

Hi there to everyone reading this review,
I'm gonna try and keep this short and simple.
This place is the absolute best when you are looking for a great accomodation for a very reasonable price.
I stayed here for almost a month (March/April 2026) and absolutely loved it. During this time I checked out some of the other accomodations on the island as well but when it comes to value for money, nothing comes close to Smile.
The staff is amazing, from a friendly smile (Good morning!) at reception to the cleaning ladies. Also, they provide complementary bottles of water to your room every day + free coffee/thee.
Rooms were clean and well maintained.
The complex is just outside the center part of the village and I loved it. No noise during the day or night and still only a 5 min walk to most of the restaurants. Tip; best restaurant on the island is actually right next door > Good Luck Restaurant.
So unless you want to stay right on the beach, book this one!

Free tea and coffee.
Fan only wasn't good. It's too hot for fan only. No hot water for shower also but considering how hot the room was I was weirdly ok with this. Lots of mosquitos in bathroom as they have not closed off vents I guess because it's soo hot, but they need some way of stopping bugs. The room was over priced for a fan only cold water only room. Also can't get out both sides of bed, need to crawl down end to get out.
