Very disappointing experience for a hotel charging nearly $500 per night. We were offered a Premium King upgrade back in September due to the unavailability of twin beds, with a rollaway bed included in the arrangement. However, we had to remind reception of this offer at check-in before it was honoured. Staff also reassured us at check-in that the rollaway bed would be set up. Yet when we returned exhausted around 1 am, nothing had been arranged. Reception then told us they needed to check whether the bed would even fit in the room! Despite repeatedly explaining we were staying for only one night, staff suggested arranging it the following day. We eventually requested an extra quilt, which arrived without proper bedding and even had someone else’s hair on it. We ended up sorting out the bedding ourselves. Check-in was not greatly handled, with no explanation of our room’s floor or the after-hours key card access. Basic amenities had to be requested separately. The room itself was dated with no view. At checkout, staff appeared aware of the unresolved bed issue but made no meaningful attempt to address it. There was also no explanation of how the $100 security deposit would be refunded. Overall, extremely poor communication, questionable hygiene and a complete lack of attention to guests’ needs. Far below expectations for a hotel at this price point.
