I took my partner to Woodlands Of Glencoe for her birthday and we had such a fantastic stay. The location is absolutely beautiful and a perfect place to get away and relax.
The pods are lovely, clean, tidy and really snug and comfortable with the added bonus of being right beside the river. The sound of the river running alongside the pod is incredibly therapeutic, almost like having natural white noise in the background. It really adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The hot Tub was fantastic too and was the perfect way to unwind and relax. All of the staff we met were really friendly welcoming and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The bar was a lovely place to relax, and the food from the food truck was very good and definitely worth trying. There’s also plenty to do on site, so you’re never short of things to keep you busy. There are walking trails, e-bikes, segways, golf, achery, and even massages and a sauna if you’re looking for a bit more relaxation. Overall, it was a brilliant birthday getaway and somewhere I’d happily return to. Beautiful surroundings, great accommodation, friendly staff and lots to do — i highly recommendeda stay here! 🌲🏡🔥♨️

Loved the unit in every way!! And the good truck was so yummy! Very friendly bartenders too!
The hot tub could have been hotter! And We left our bathing suits and could not find a way with the front desk to have them sent to us.

It’s beautifully done. The lodge’s are very cool on the river bed and I would give them A for effort on comfort. Beautifully done and very clean and bathrobes and very comfortable bed and sheets. However we are very disappointed that we did not do any research on the Midges. We wish this place had some kind of disclaimer on that for the price tag. Because your have a warning on the welcome note. We could not be outside after 6pm or during the morning not even for 30 seconds.
There was 2 moments we had to take cover from some people playing gulf, that is really scary to have to dodge flying gulf balls while walking on the road you drive in to the property, so a ball could just fly into a car window or the lodge window. We even had some land on our deck. Super dangerous. Definitely someone will be injured and this place will be sued. Also we felt that the midges should be disclosed as it is in the manual about not leaving the door open for summer. We could not spend much time on the deck or even relax on the hot tub and enjoy the river sounds because the small flys are absolutely diabolical yes yes we tried the anti fly lotion and it barely worked. It’s too bad because this is a very expensive place and to have to find out about things like this during the stay is a let down. I would never stay here again. And it’s a shame because a lot of effort was put into making this such a great place it’s was very comfortable and we sleept well other then a few bugs coming in and biting us all night. Your basically trapped in your lodge And cannot enjoy anything outside other then playing gulf if that’s your thing. We also had to purchase the fire wood at a local petrol station because it’s an absolute mission to get an order on the website. They should be more aggressive about selling firewood and some kind of pine cone to prevent the midges flys from being so invasive.
