Tess, the owner was lovely and friendly. Place is spotless and has excellent heating.
Shower was suboptimal, but nothing to worry about. That's about it.

The bed was comfy and clean. Once the radiators had been on awhile, it was very warm (far too hot eventually so turn radiators down when you go to bed). Good kitchen. It was mostly very clean but there were some issues that were really gross.
Unfortunately, the unit smelt really bad. We managed to trace the odour to the throw blanket on the bed, which felt and smelt like it hadn't been washed in an extremely long time. The smell was so bad it was stinking out the whole unit. The bed cover underneath smelt too where the blanket had been resting on it. We had to put both outside on the deck. There was something down the wall of the toilet that looked like dried vomit? Urine? I don't know but it wasn't nice. I didn't want to stay because of the smell, but there are no staff onsite and it was prepaid and I couldn't be bothered trying to sort it out via booking .com, since sheets and rest of the unit was very clean. The "sofa/bed" is an ancient collapsed futon, looks dirty, plus its very uncomfortable to sit on. These simply need replacing and there's no excuse for having this terrible furniture for paying guests. The extra duvet for the bed had stains on the cover... the kitchen and bathroom were very clean, but the other issues let it down.
