The hotel is located in a very poor and not very nice area, but the hotel itself is a little oasis

The food was in general very good. Pricey though. The breakfasts were lovely, well-cooked omelets. Our first night's dinner was lovely, but the 2nd night was not so good. Once you are at Big Daddys it is unlikely that you will look for restaurants anywhere else for dinner as there are no restaurants in the area. Lunches are different as you can move further down the coast and find some nice places to eat at such as Hooked on Panama. The rooms are spacious, very basic, but comfortable. The staff are wonderful. Always a smile and a laugh from them! The swimming pool was great to cool off in. A perfect size and depth.

Whilst you are on the beach, it is not a swimming beach and the beach is not the attraction. There is a lot of sewerage being dumped out into the ocean. The smell was not bad when we were there, but you could see the ocean was not clean. Again, you can drive out of the town and find swimming beaches. The rooms are not very well insulated and we had a baby next door that was fairly disturbing. Also, if guests sit outside to eat, they sit right outside your room door and you can hear them. The roof is in desperate need of repair. We did not have any rain, so cannot comment on whether there were any leaks in the roof. The showerhead in our room was a mess. This is an easy and cheap fix and would make a difference. Our basin also blocked up all the time and we were often left waiting for it to subside before we could continue brushing teeth etc.

Good rest and delicious food

I liked the big space in the bedroom, the food was delicious, , the beach is very near, the place es beautiful and quiet.

They should have more chairs to be outside while you see the sea. Parking should be more private.

Wonderful hotel right in the beach!

Amazing location right on a gorgeous beach. Great pool, wonderful room with very comfortable beds. Excellent menu with many American favorites. Welcoming staff with great smiles, we instantly felt at home. Kenia is truly a gem. We will be back!

Great location, staff and pricing. Pet friendly, the only way I will travel.

The whole place! The room view of the ocean was amazing. You can fall asleep to the sound of the waves, spectacular. The staff there are the happiest, nicest people ever. We Will definately be back.

That the vacation get away was too short.

Superb

Pool is nice, beach access is handy with some seating under the trees. Great food in the restaurant. Restaurante next door had very good food as well.

Parking is limited, but found a spot across the street. The restaurant with outdoor seating is very popular.

Won't return.

There was no free breakfast as advertised on Google.

1. No bathmat. 2. No wash cloth. 3. The bed was short sheeted. Weird. 4. No place to hang clothes near the shower. 5. No place to hang towels near the shower or the sink. 6. Only 2 pillows on the bed. 7. No place around the sink to even put a toothbrush. 8. No hair dryer. 9. And incredibly the toilet was in the same room as the bed. No privacy using the toilet! Really made us angry

Superb

We thought the staff was great. Most of them speak English as well as Spanish! The food was very good. They seem to be a very popular place for the locals to get together. We liked the facility. Swimming pool was nice. We watched the whales from the patio covered area. They are right on the beach so they had beautiful beach views.

We liked the facility except we weren't that crazy about no door on the bathroom in our room.

Majority of personnel are customer's oriented. Good internet. Nice burguers!

The acces requires more shade or shelter as it feels too exposed e.g like you are still on the road. Slow check in process. Breakfast quantity is not enough.

The dinner menu said the meal came with choice of side and salad and garlic bread, but you only get one of those. Food was good, large combo pizza excellent. About $10 per person. The nearest store/restaurant is about a 20 minute walk from the property. Very pleasant and helpful staff. We were gratefully "upgraded" to a suite (one of only 2) with French doors facing the beach, jacuzzi, fridge (no microwave) very large comfy bed, a/c excellent, on arrival. Some other rooms had a small window while others have none at all. If we were to stay again we would book the suite, or look elsewhere.

Disappointment at Big Daddy’s

The property is located right on the beach and within walking distance to town for shopping and additional restaurant choices. Marlo and Diego the two young fellows who work the front desk/bar/restaurant were very attentive and helpful.

Unfortunately there was not much that was good. When we got into our room the first thing I noticed was there was NO window, a room I would never choose. We asked to be moved to room with a window, as the property was not to capacity. The request was granted, but when the manager/owner discovered that we had been moved he total Marlo we had to change back to the windowless room, poor Marlo having to do the dirty work for the manager/owner. We got an extra night in the room with the window, but half way through the stay we were told the room was booked and we had to get out. We were staying 6 nights and the expected guests were staying only 2 nights. We spoke to the manager/owner who didn’t really care how long we were staying, we had to move. Again the property was not to capacity. Three of the rooms at this property have NO window, so if you must stay there, make sure you have a room with a view, otherwise you will get the box. So after three nights in the room and being asked to leave, even though they weren’t sure if the other people would show up, and we tried to reason with the manager/owner he said we had to move we opted to leave the property. The vibe was not good and the manager/owner didn’t really seem to give a S...T if we were there or not. For the days we were at the hotel we never received or were asked if we wanted housekeeping in our room. The pool was very murky and clumps of hair at the bottom. When I inquired about the pool cleaning I was told it was cleaned in the morning and late at night. In three days I never saw a vacuum or a net being used to clean the pool. I suspect chemicals were being added to the water. We did not use the pool. There are no lounge chairs to sit on at the pool, nor were there hammocks. There were no lounge chairs for the beach. The upstairs deck above the pool area was left with dirty dishes and garbage after locals had been for a meal or drinks.
