From the moment we arrived we were embraced with warm& friendly hospitality... The food was delicious-the beach stunning-the setting remote,relaxed and rustic.We loved the outdoor bathroom!We had the use of a kayak&snorkels-a scooter to hire and a drop&fetch service to close by Darocotan island.Our taxi to and from Lio airport was arranged for us making our arrival&departure seamless.Thank you to Mabel and the other wonderful staff members(and Rochelle who was a short whatsapp away:)
The only thing we would emphasize is to draw enough cash for your stay-or make sure you register & download PayPal in your own country.You have options for ATM withdrawal at El Nido town &the airport! The charm of this resort is it's authentic- rustic edge-if you are looking for all the mod cons-this is not the place for you:)

Playa Encantada is the perfect gateway is you want to have a bungalow right in front of the sea and be with nature. You can hear birds all day long and no one is going to bother you. The staff is amazing and the food is really good! If you are looking for a really perfect place to reset and rest, this is it.

Marbel and the staff were amazing! They looked after us like we were royalty. The food was wonderful, the location was secluded and so restful. The cabin was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay😁😁😁
The road to get to the resort was very tricky if you are travelling on a scooter

The absolute highlight of our stay was Mabel. She went above and beyond for every guest and truly made a difference. Without her, we honestly would have left early. She created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and made our evenings enjoyable. The rooms themselves were also fairly okay—nothing special, but acceptable.
Unfortunately, the rest of the resort feels very neglected and lacks care. The entire place seems loveless and poorly maintained. The beach was covered in plastic waste, which is completely unacceptable. The overall cleanliness of the property was disappointing—it often looked dirty and unkempt.
While we understand that there is currently a trainee in the kitchen, the food was only average and not something to look forward to. Evenings were quite dull, with little to do and a generally uninspiring atmosphere.
