Breakfast: good options and a lovely view.
Location: beautiful surroundings and right on the beach.
Budget-friendly: the price can still make it a decent option.
Room location & noise: our garden view room was right next to reception, kitchen, and facilities, making it very noisy early in the morning. Staff didn’t seem to consider that guests might want to sleep until a reasonable hour.
WiFi: never worked, reportedly due to the recent typhoon, not a big deal as we used mobile data but people might rely on it so communication should improve as we had been told it would have been fixed probably the next day but never happened and updates were never provided.
Water outage: one morning there was no water, and no information was given until we asked. Water is essential, unlike WiFi, and this caused some inconvenience. Again, improve communication when issues arise
Housekeeping: inconsistent; essentials like toilet rolls, towels, or water jugs were often missing, and the bathroom was never cleaned.
Tuk-tuk service: unreliable and poorly communicated. On one occasion, the driver offered to check for a beach transfer but quoted a much higher price than expected. Later, when other guests requested the tuk-tuk, he suggested all four of us squeeze in, impossible and frustrating, especially since we arrived first. On some days, it only ran for a few hours.
Tour information: never provided when asked, so we had to book externally.
Airport transfer booked via hotel: the driver was clearly circling the airport to pick up more passengers. While waiting for others is normal for a shared van, they lied when asked if the next passengers would be the last, unnecessarily delaying our journey after a 12+ hour trip.
Accessibility: the only way to reach the town square is along the beach, which at night can be difficult during high tide, and guests are not informed about this in advance.
3-star rating: the hotel clearly doesn’t deserve the 3 stars shown online.
