Staff were really lovely and the beach front location was amazing. many many good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Make sure you explicitly request a downstairs room with the hammocks out the front and get breakfast at the cafe next door, Blend & Grind.
Booking.com makes it seem like you're booking a downstairs room with hammock which we thought we were getting, turns out the hotel never got that request but they were more than happy to accommodate when the room became available on our second night. You can't get Wi-Fi inside some of the rooms, not great when you're trying to relax in the aircon. Ours was fine, but some guests told us they had issues. The Cable TV reception was also so bad that no channels worked. not that big of an issue if your Wi-Fi works in. Our bathroom didn't have hot water connected, not a huge problem because it's a hot climate, but understand that it is a deal breaker for some. However, you also need to take the cost of the room in to account, pretty cheap so you get what you pay for.

room was clean and basic, beds a bit firm but ok with nice clean sheets etc. water is provided but there is no fridge in the rooms which was annoying. The accommodation is right on the water and located in an alley way with a few different restaurants, massages, tour guides and small convenient store. Wander along the beach and you will find lots of other hotels that you can stop in for food and to the right on the beach there is a massage place and a tour place called Palawenia's which offers private tours if that is what you are looking for. Overall we had a great time here and although it was basic the staff made it a nice place to rest your head
slight smells coming from the drains sometimes in the bathroom, showers were not great with not much water pressure and no fridge in the room

The location right on the sand was absolutely perfect, and the room itself was surprisingly clean and well-maintained. There were some fantastic restaurants just a short walk away.
While the location is great, I was quite bothered by a persistent and unpleasant odor in the bathroom. The beach experience was also less than ideal, as we were constantly approached by vendors selling various items. It was difficult to find a moment of peace and quiet to truly relax and enjoy the view.

You can stay here, but go in with the right expectations. There’s definitely a rustic, laid-back island vibe and I actually get it. It’s not meant to be polished or luxury, and that part I appreciated. We stayed upstairs and the balcony was honestly everything. The view is unreal clear blue water and the most beautiful sunsets. I could have stayed out there all day. The location is also a big win. It’s right next to an amazing coffee shop and feels really convenient. Staff were friendly overall, which I appreciated. The aircon works fine, just a bit noisy.
That said… there are quite a few things that really need improving. The glass containers for shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel are not secured to the wall, which feels unsafe we accidentally broke the conditioner in the shower and we were charged 150 pesos, which felt a bit unfair considering we stayed for a week. Most of the plugs in the room don’t work, which is frustrating. The shower pressure is quite weak and could definitely be better. Service-wise, it felt inconsistent. When we asked to change the bed sheets, it didn’t seem very welcomed. Cleanliness and maintenance are also an issue. There was an odor in the toilet, and the water sometimes comes out brown (they use recycled water, but still not the nicest experience). The refillable water bottles didn’t always look clean either. Small details really add up here. No hand soap on arrival. I had to ask and was given bath gel instead, so I ended up buying my own. Only one toilet roll at a time. The fan was literally held in place with a toothpaste sache, which says a lot. There are also too many little signs around the room, which makes the space feel cluttered. WiFi doesn’t work well in the rooms, which can be inconvenient. Also very important do not stay on the ground floor. I saw two massive rats, which was quite shocking. And one thing that really didn’t sit right: we booked through Booking, and the hotel canceled it and then listed the room again at a higher price. The views, balcony, and location are genuinely amazing, and that’s what saves this place. But the maintenance, cleanliness, and some service aspects really take away from the experience. If you’re okay overlooking quite a few things for the vibe and the view, you might enjoy it. Otherwise, it might feel a bit frustrating.
