Super fijn

We zijn extreem in de watten gelegd, het eten was super lekker en de kamer was prachtig. Fijn dat het een buitendouche was maar dit komt natuurlijk met de bijbehorende beestjes, daar hou je best wel wat rekening mee. Kajakken was heel leuk!

De bereikbaarheid met de auto was vrij lastig. Een beetje onderhoud aan de toegangsweg zou goed zijn. Een douche met warm water was fijn geweest.

Superb

Very quiet location on the Lagoon, with tropical grounds and lovely pool. Rooms were beautifully furnished with designer touches. The manager, Janith, and his staff were very helpful, and the chef prepared delicious food that was varied and local. Ideal for a restful and perfect short escape.

No coffee or tea in room, but staff were available to provide it.

One of the most peaceful and restful holidays with delicious food and beautiful scenery.

The breakfast was beyond all expectations. The first morning was the Eastern breakfast starting with coffee and tea, followed by a platter of fresh fruit, coconut pancakes and accompaniments both sweet and savoury as well as eggs . The second day was the Western breakfast starting with a fruit platter, home baked fresh bread and home made preserves. This was followed by eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms. Absolutely delicious! The location was stunning - a beautiful garden overlooking a blue lagoon running down to the sea.

Beautiful experience in a beautiful place

Our stay in Luna laguna has been one of the biggest highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The hotel is near the lagoon in a very well maintained garden. What we loved the most: - The place. everything in this hotel is breathtaking. The swimming pool, the rooms, the garden have a charm that make it so special. - The food. A special huge thanks to the talented chef that offered us the best food we had in Sri Lanka. You deserve a big reward for your job. - The people. People working in the hotel are really really good heart people and do their best to make your stay as confortable as possible. A special thanks to django This stay was special for us and you truly contributed to it. I cannot recommend enough Luna laguna for your stay in Kalpitiya. Special advise: Kalpitiya is a very small town with not much to see but the lagoon is breathtaking for any water sport, for sure the best time to start or practice kite, wingfoil, sailboard

Fabulous place to unwind and relax in Sri Lanka

Beautiful place, aesthetically wonderful, luxurious but authentic. Perfectly clean. The 4 young men working there are awesome: very kind, welcoming, helpful, professional. They work hard and they arranged everything we asked :) and we asked a lot :) Food was delicious, we enjoyed a perfect dinner and a gorgeous breakfast. You can walk to the centre (about 20 minutes) and it’s really worth it to go and feel authentic Sri Lanka. In the evening we enjoyed staying on the Lagoon beach, it’s amazing at sunset. I really really recommend. Thanks for your hospitality and I wish all the best to you guys!!

Not depending on the structure, which has no negatives at all, unfortunately there is no Pick me or Uber in Kalpitiya, this means that prices of transport can be even tripled compared to other places we have been.

Heaven on earth.

This is the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. Luna Laguna is simply a heaven on earth. We got a free upgrade and spend 4 nights in the most beautiful villa that reminded of us an Italian renaissance building. The food was utterly delicious and, without a doubt, the best we ate in all of Sri Lanka. It was always tasty and varied. The staff and the owner were remarkable people and the best thing about the place. They welcomed us with open arms and kindness. We had many good talks and really enjoyed their generous hospitality. All in all, this is a little paradise, and I’d recommend it to each and everyone. Truly an experience we’ll cherish and never forget. Thank you so much Luna Laguna!

I loved it was an amazing place, with the perfect location and the greatest staff. I helped me relax and reconnect with myself while enjoying the paradise this place is.

Exceptional

This place is amazing. the huge, beautiful garden gives you the feeling of beeing in your own world. Perfect for a morning yoga, workout or just a reading session! The breackfast was amazing with fresh ingredients. every morning you would get smth different. Great view at the laguna. nice rooms with beautiful furniture! we loved the outdoor shower in our room. Staff was really friendly, considered and helpful. i would definitely stay here again!, thanks fod everything.

Peaceful location away from it all

The bungalow accommodation was set in large, well tended grounds. The accommodation was well designed and featured several antique or unusual pieces From the bedroom you entered a courtyard with shower (which I think just had cold water!) and from the courtyard a toilet and wash basin. The swimming pool was lovely with views across the lagoon. Although the location was lovely and very peaceful, it felt a fair distance from the town / eating places, so we ate there, so the choice of menu was limited - alcohol is not served there, but not a problem as the staff are more than happy to go out and get some for you. The staff were great and very attentive…..always there for your every need. We went dolphin watching early in the morning and had a great experience watching the spinner dolphins perform - and then returned for a lovely breakfast. Thank you

beyond comfort and beauty, a real human experience 🌴💕

Ram has been an incredible host, making our experience truly amazing. aside from the beauty of this place, the comfort, the equipments made to enjoy without worrying about anything, he and the chef made this stay outstanding. they showed us their garden, we could enjoy learning stuff with them, talking for hours, having all our needs and beyond their priority. really, i would not recommend any other place in the area if you are into bohemian luxury and sharing with the locals.

The perfect getaway.

The location was absolutely beautiful. It's the perfect getaway for anyone looking to just spend time in nature, relax, have some amazing food and recharge. The deco is beautiful and the villas have all the modern amenities. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The property faces the lagoon and the guests can go kayaking. It's the kind of place you will keep thinking of whenever you want to escape your busy lives and take time with friends and family to recharge.

Disappointed

The garden with the palmtrees and swimmingpool looked nice. There was only one staffmember working and he was lovely and did the best he could to make me feel home.

Communication by email is slow. The place is hard to find and contacting the owner/manager had no point because his phone was out of order. The place was totally abandoned. After I booked they told me they don’t serve food and there’s no staff. So I couldnt taste the food which looked delicious on the pics. There was also no yoga and no yogamats provided to do yoga by yourself. I’ve spent my time at Valampuri resort which was really nice!

Exceptional

It was perfect ! We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and the cook is wonderfully good ! The staff is very kind and attentive. The pool is nice, the accommodation is very clean ! We are very happy ! Go go go :).

Superb

Good location just next to the lagoon, very quiet and peaceful, nice to stay couple of nights and relax yourself. They do have free Kayaking if you request.

There is no hot water for shower.
