Lovely country experience

Gail was a fantastic host. She was so kind and attentive to our kids. Our kids absolutely loved their beautiful chickens. Their highlight of the stay is playing with the chickens. First thing in the morning they asked if they could go and see Gail and her chickens. :) We wanted to experience the typical NZ countryside lifestyle. This place offers exactly it. Their garden is absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. Fresh eggs were absolutely delicious! Thank you!

This is a very special place with very special people running it and you will be super relaxed.

the best place I have ever stayed, ever. Amazing service host. I slept the best I've ever slept and were very impressed with the cleaness and tidyness. The hosts were kind and friendly and approachable. They even got us some butter when we asked. I love these guys. I want to marry them.

I really can't think of anything I didn't like. Nope, I really am trying but there is nothing to say on that front. It has charm, kindness and love all around it bumblebee cottage. It's so special. In some ways I don't want people to know about it.

Would highly recommend

Lovely gardens and peaceful area. Was a really relaxing place to stay. Home was lovely with lots of interesting things to look at. Host really friendly and welcoming. Great tea and coffee selection.

Pure bliss!

Gail was an amazing host. The cottage was warm, ready and waiting for us and a complete delight to see. It’s in a beautiful countryside location and had everything we needed, including spare toothbrushes! There was plenty of space to sit and chat and it was the most wonderful getaway. The selection of teas, pantry with staples and touches like a dressing gown and electric blankets were so appreciated. We can’t wait to return!!!

Absolutely loved Bumblebee Cottage.

Lovely, tranquil location. Comfy and cosy and everything we needed on site. If we had forgotten to bring anything, no problem has Gail had it all covered. Beautiful artwork by our host in the cottage and we lost count of the 'bee and honey' themed items on site, lots of fun discovering them all.

Idyllic cottage - perfect!

An idyllic cottage, peaceful and beautiful garden setting! Had plenty of room for our family, we were very comfortable. The hosts were lovely and we enjoyed meeting them (& the chickens!).

Warm, Cute and Cozy

Such a loving and cozy place. Gail was a delight! Missed the hot chocolate options. But you know, I bet if we asked Gail would have rush to get some. A lovely secluded getaway. Boys loved the loft or being able to sleep in the annex. It was even a treat to show them what a VHS was!

Gail treated us like family.. so welcoming. Great little cottage in the country, yet so close to town filled with the comforts of home. . Loved waking up to the friendly chickens pecking on the glass door. Love to come back. Thankyou Gail.

A special treat in a fairytale like little cottage

Loved everything about our stay at the Bumblebee cottage. We arrived when it was all dark and Gail the owner was just soooo welcoming. The house was warm and the lights were on, it felt like we had arrived home. Staying at the Bumblebee cottage is a very unique experience filled with warmth and good vibes. It's a place where you can truly be and recharge. We also loooved the chooks pecking at the door for cuddles.

A perfect stay.

It is difficult to single out things we liked, as everything was so good from the very warm welcome on our arrival, the delightful cottage with its outdoor deck and comfortable chairs the breakfast, the well equipped kitchen and the cosy feel. Set in a large garden and a short drive from the centre of Grey town, we appreciated the quiet, serene atmosphere. A warm thank you to our hosts. We could happily have stayed longer.

Breakfast superb, great coffee and free range eggs too l’ovation was perfect. Half way between martinborough and Greytown. Bumblebee cottage was such a cosy place to return to

Bumblebee Cottage itself is delightful, filled with artistic charm and warmth. Our hosts were fabulously welcoming, friendly and fun. The super curious chickens were gorgeous and added to the country stay experience.
