The location is great, overlooking the vineyard and the Balaton. The restaurant uses mainly local, seasonal ingredients and the food tastes really good. There is a combination of modern (light salads, cold soups, mediterranean classics) and traditional courses (like stews) on the menu which changes weekly. We loved the authentical wine tasting attended by the viticulturist. The kids had a small (and a bit rusty) playground behind the apartment, which they were fond of.
As a FAMILY with a toddler we were in the Royal apartment located right next to the kitchen and dining facility which closed at 9 pm. This apartment is furnished rustically including door handles, wooden floor and shares a staircase with the supply room. Unfortunately all this has resulted in noise which made it very hard to put our small child early into bed. The rubbish was only emptied on request, so were the hotel amenities replenished and the baby bathtub did not really fit into the bathroom. We missed the WIFI connection. The mosquito net, handrails and some light bulbs need some repair. However the staff was always helpful and tried to make up for the deficiencies.

Beautiful surroundings, pretty and comfortable apartment? nice dinner!
The service was horrible. We couldn’t find the place by bikes that easily, and after multiple tries, nobody picked up the phone. When we arrived, it was very confusing who handles the check in. Later that night we signed up for breakfast, which noone told the kitchen staff apparently. So in the morning it seemed like there might be not enough food for everyone. The breakfast was good, but 4 cappuccinos, 6 pieces of bread, eggplant cream, a few vegetables cut, 2 pieces of french toast, two portions of scrambled eggs and two bottles of lemonade are definitely not worth 48€/20.000 huf! Big kudos to the waiter guy who handled the breakfast situation very well!
