Delightful. And we didn't fall down the spiral staircase in the middle of the night, so bonus! :-)

The Silky Oak Cottage was delightful for our winter visit. Really appreciated that the fire was set. It would have been good to have more paper/kindling for lighting beyond the first night!

Fairytale cottage in the countryside

We loved loved loved our stay in the fairytale Silky Oak Cottage with the fireplace and spiral staircase The location was close to town but far enough to feel peaceful and secluded. I became the fire master, something my husband normally does, because it was so easy and fun to do. We also enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and meeting our neighbours for a couple of nights. The beds were comfortable and we had all the essentials for a relaxing stay. Great location for exploring the surrounding farms, wineries and for walks in Girraween.

The cottage is on a main road so there is some traffic noise. If you are looking for complete privacy just note that there is a neighbouring cottage.
