The dinner and breakfast were delicious, with lots of small dishes, almost all of them vegetarian. A special highlight was the vegetable soup with lentils – it was absolutely incredible! Having a private bathroom was another huge plus and something we really appreciated. The owners were friendly, and the location is perfect, as the next stage of the four-day hike to Ushguli starts nearby.
The beds were very noisy and squeaky, and unfortunately we could feel every spring in the mattress.

It's a family run guesthouse in the quite village of Chvabiani. When you are hiking to Ushguli, it is 1km before Zambeshi.
They have a nice garden, with an outside dining area. Our twin room was nice and cool, the bed was ok. The ensuit bathroom was small, but it had everything we needed. Wet room, i.e. when showering the bathroom floor gets wet.
They offer dinner (35 GEL), breakfast (30 GEL), and packed lunches (20 GEL). We only had the dinner, which was a generous amount of different Georgian dishes. It was tasty. We had a communal meal in the outside seating area, which was nice. We were offered a glass of homemade chacha after dinner.
They have their own Svan tower which you can visit for 10 GEL
When we arrived something was going on, Mia the host was very grumpy and brief. That is not what I read in previous reviews and indeed she thawed in the evening. Her son(?) was very engaging and spoke English.

Friendly people, in a nice rural setting. Seating area in the sun. Food very decent. En suite fine
Nothing significant, though surprised that the only cold drinks on offer after a slog up from Mestia were beers when a lemonade or borjomi would have gone down a treat

Guesthouse is located in a quiet village with authentic 12th century towers. The view from the room was stunning. The hostess serves homemade food for breakfast and dinner (at additional cost).
The access to the property in winter time is quite complicated - 4 wheeler is needed to get there.
