The accommodation and facilities were excellent. The staff were always very friendly and accommodating to our wishes. The location made it accessible to retail and places of interest

Staff and manager very welcoming. Room tasteful decoration. Breakfast very nice. Location was handy for our needs
It was a little noisy due to being downstairs above very late to bed and early risers. We would have preferred an upstairs room. The stairs creak a lot, as do the upstairs floorboards, appreciating it is a lovely older building. Although we would have preferred a quieter room, it wasn't a deal breaker, we would very much like to stay there again, perhaps ask if there was an upstairs room. The cost was a little more than we usually pay for the room rate.

the location is pleasant and the pub is pretty with great potential- but…
the staff were shockingly poor. when i arrived it took a full five minutes for even my existence to be acknowledged- even though the staff were standing right in front of me at the other side of the bar.
the bed was as hard as a rock, the bath was filthy. the manager was astonishingly rude- when i attempted to give him feedback he said, and i quote, ‘ i’ bored of this- im going’ i am still somewhat speechless
