Not bad

Fairly clean room and washroom

The access to the room was difficult... the metallic staircase outside was the only access we were allowed to use despite having a staircase inside the house... it was heavily raining when we reached there and we had 2 ladies with 2 kids and they all got wet reaching the room since they used the slippery metallic staircase outside and we used it while it was raining during the first day... so it felt bad to me personally since it was never expected and thought we will be asked to use the staircase inside without getting wet with kids, but no, it was a disappointment...

Great, friendly homestay

Lovely family run homestay - made very welcome. Rooms have access to a living area, crockery and cutlery and drinking water. Lovely hot shower. Location is very close to Grand hotel, Post Office, Turf Club and Lake Gregory/Victoria Park. It's a short 10 min walk to town. Our hosts were so kind and helped us get to our train when we couldn't get a pick up. Staying in great family run places like this one is not only a great way to experience local life but it puts your tourism dollars into the communities you travel in rather than big hotels.

The perfect place to stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Excellent location, very friendly owner, good hot water, great WiFi and comfortable.

Would have been nice to have had the option for breakfast but completely understand why this is not on offer as it is very close to the town.

Pleasant stay with the best shower !

So far, the best shower I have had in Sri Lanka! We had a pleasant stay here. The hosts were kind and helpful, and the facilities were nice.

Comfortable Homestay

Friendly and welcoming. The host spoke great English and was very helpful providing information about the area. The centre is walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower provided hot water which is necessary this time of year as it's quite cool in the mornings. This was my first homestay and it was a good experience. By the way the breakfasts were also great and the hosts are happy to help.

Very good and big breakfast, a lot of regional dishes. Quiet place.

Small room, not clean enough. Many equipment things broken. The owner , before invitation , asked us what time we will leave the room

Such an amazing place to stay. Great value, great location and very tasty breakfastt

Everything was perfect. Location was close to everything we wanted to see. In the posh end of nuwara eliya for amazing value. Owner was so friendly and helpful. She gives you lots of useful information and help. Breakfast was very tasty and so much food!!! Really enjoyed our stay. We wished we had stayed longer.

location is nice, not in a city center, but not so far away to take a nice walk :) The owner was nice

there was such a noise from the street, that we could not sleep- seemed there was a party in really close neighborhood. and somebody said before, it is really cold at the room, and there is only thin bedsheet

Great stay for Nuwara Eliya!

Great stay in Nuwara Eliya and great hosts. Walking distance to the town and taxi was arranged for us to Lover's Leap. Host was happy to help with recommendations. Only stayed one night but would recommend for anyone staying in Nuwara Eliya!

Beautiful home in Nuwara Eliya

We only got to stay here for one night, but we really enjoyed it. The location was good, only a short ride into town. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious. Our hostess was great also. She helped us with planning our onward travel and with finding suitable dining options.

The Host was very friendly, the location was good, it was easy to get there from the city centre. The host helped us to organise trips and helped us with the train tickets. She recommended going for a high tea, which was a lovely experience.

Bed sheets were not super clean; we haven't asked to change them, but I guess she would have done that. Breakfast is just at 8.

A lovely homestay

This is the second time we have stayed here and we have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Roshan and Amali, who run this homestay are lovely, and will always go out of their way for guests. They will arrange transport to local attractions, and onward journeys, at a reasonable rate. Amali makes amazing breakfasts which she varies every day. The first time we stayed four years ago, I injured my leg, and they went to great lengths to look after me. When we came back they were very pleased to see me! . The rooms are clean and comfortable with ensuite bathrooms and hot water. There is a lovely sitting/dining room with comfortable chairs, TV, and facilities for making drinks. This homestay feels like home from home, and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Caring hosts. Breakfast was standard and ok. There is a hot shower, which was nice because it tends to get very cold in the evening.

We had a big cockroach in the bathroom. A lot of mosquitoes in general. The sheets had stains on them. The whole room smelled strange.
