Big Sky 8 is a cheerful Sunriver retreat made for the simple pleasures of being together. Tucked among the pines, this warm and welcoming home gives families and friends an easy place to slow down, share meals, explore Central Oregon, and return each evening to a crackling fire and a private hot tub beneath the stars.

On the main level, the spacious living room is centered around a classic wood-burning fireplace, the sort of place that naturally draws everyone together after a day outdoors. Settle in with a good book, linger over conversation, or enjoy a quiet movie night while the fire warms the room.

The fully stocked kitchen and adjacent dining area make shared meals part of the pleasure of the stay. There is room for pancake breakfasts before a bike ride, leisurely dinners after a day on the river, and the sort of long conversations that tend to happen when no one is in a hurry.

The sleeping arrangements offer a comfortable balance for families and groups. On the main level, Bedroom One has a king bed and cable TV. Upstairs, Bedroom Two has a queen bed, while Bedroom Three has two pyramid bunks, each with a twin-over-full bed, creating a playful and flexible space for children or additional guests.

Outside, a large private deck provides plenty of room to enjoy Sunriver's fresh mountain air. Fire up the gas BBQ for dinner beneath the pines, then slip into the private hot tub for a long soak as the evening settles in.

Four adult cruiser-style bikes make it easy to explore Sunriver's miles of paved pathways, while ping pong adds a little friendly competition back at the house. Days here can be as full or as leisurely as you choose, from floating the Deschutes River to skiing at Mt. Bachelor or simply riding through the trees with nowhere in particular to be.

Big Sky 8 is dog friendly, so the four-legged members of the family are welcome to join the adventure. Up to two dogs are permitted, and pet fees apply.

Planning a larger family gathering? Big Sky 8 can be booked alongside neighboring Big Sky 7, allowing everyone to stay close while still having a little room of their own.

This home, along with most Sunriver homes, is not air-conditioned. With our cool mountain evenings and ice-cold rivers and lakes to keep you cool, this is a great house for a slow-paced, ice cream and iced beer kinda summer.

AGE RESTRICTIONS: Guests must be 23 years or older to rent Bennington homes and the person reserving must occupy the home the whole reservation.
