The location was on a quiet residential street but just a short walk to a number of fine restaurants. Our host was wonderful as was the cooked to order breakfast with a nice assortment of breakfast foods, pastries and treats.

We liked the quiet, cherry tree lined street and the period room. With more time we would have used the separate sitting room

Staff were good, Breakfast was fine.
The room was not warm, and the bed was too soft.
Reception from the TV aerial was poor, although the staff assisted me in tuning it in, only to have the remote let me down, so I had to use the manual buttons on the set.

Breakfast was excellent. A great choice of cereals, home made dropped scones, banana bread, and an array of fruits and fruit juices. Also an amazing choice of cooked breakfast menu.
I was in the Bruce room which is spectacular. I loved the furniture, in fact furniture throughout the house is high qualith antique. The only downside of the Bruce room is the sloped ceiling over the head of the bed and I often banged my head as I approached the bedside cabinet.
