Great little motel to stay for the night, was down in Napier for a weekend sports tournament with my son and his friend / team mate. Loved our room and the location was excellent.

The appt I eventually got put into was very large with a good vibe and aircon and full kitchen facilities, best aspect was how close to town it was. Nice to have option to sit by the pool.
The first room I was put into had a horrible mould smell and a lot of mould on window sill which was falling onto the pillows on the bed, also on the door to the outside. Absolutely not ok, and def not ok for the high price (same as the nautillus hotel). The hotel owners were at first defensive but then turned a corner and put me in a much nicer room, but I had to pay extra for it. The pool had lots of ants around it and was a bit mouldy, the bathwater was blue, elements on stove took ages to heat up and some didnt work, bedroom curtains let in light. It has the structure and location to be an awesome place but needs some tlc/maintenence particularly if pricing the same as nice hotels.
