The duplex apartment combines modern comfort with authentic 17th-century character . The spacious and excellent layout works particularly well for families or groups. The apartment is bright, quiet and well maintained. Set in the heart of central Paris, it provides an excellent base for exploring the city. A plasma TV with Apple TV is available for evenings in.
The original beamed drawing room, filled with natural light, features 2 large comfortable sofas and a dining area perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Solid oak parquet floors and double-glazed windows ensure your stay will be both a comfortable and peaceful one.

• 2 bright, quiet bedrooms, 5-star hotel standard beds. The main bedroom is a fully private galleried space, designed to maximise light and a sense of space.

The apartment was absolutely perfect and exactly as described. Clean and with all the amenities for comfort. The air-conditioning was a lifesaver during the historic heatwave! The laundry came in handy as well. The host was very responsive and communication was easy. - this was one of the main reasons we chose this property. The location is excellent, near EVERYTHING, and easy access to the metro and RER trains. Shops, groceries, restaurants, major museums and landmarks all nearby and within walking distance. A gem of a cafe for coffee is Marcelle, right across the street. There are too many positive things to list! It was truly a home away from home for our family.

Family of five (2 adults and 3 kids ages 14,12,10). We loved the location. Lots of restaurants and shops. Walking distance to the louve and the metro. The beds were very comfortable. Just be prepared for a lot of narrow stairs, and when you finally think you are at the unit and the stairs are over, you open the door to another flight of stairs. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. So, I think it is important to mention this at the start. Please note when you book, you will be directed off VRBO for payment and processing. Pad a Terre's process was very easy to use. Being first time VRBO users we were caught off guard being directed outside the app. I called VRBO and verified this. Feel free to contact them, they had very positive feedback about this host. The check in process was clear and detailed. Information about the apartment was provided via messaging, email, and hard copy in the apartment. The host's staff on site was extremely helpful and thorough in his overview of the apartment. Communication by all parties was excellent. We should have taken advantage of his taxi set up from the airport because we almost fell victim to a taxi scam (our issue.) The apartment itself is a bit of a odd set up, but was workable for our family of 4. I suspect the arrangement is due to the age of the property.Everything was meticulously clean. The host apologized for some chipped paint, which I suspected was caused by a guest and not a fault of the owner. Having all major appliances was ideal. The laundry is combined, so slow, but workable. Nice to have if you have a long trip.It was convenient having a Carrefour market below, allowing for grabbing groceries and supplies without a lot of effort. The apartment is located in an area full of restaurants and shopping. As advertised, it is very convenient to get to the Louvre from here.

We made a very last minute booking when our other accommodation in Paris got cancelled as we were travelling and the host was so helpful and accommodating. The apartment was in a superb location, close to all the central attractions, some amazing food nearby and a short walk to a major metro station (that goes to Disney) and a large shopping centre. The apartment itself was perfect for a family stay and had everything we needed. You need to be reasonably fit for the stairs but it’s well worth it. We’d stay here again next time we’re in Paris!
