We came to Portsmouth for my mother's 65th birthday — she has loved ships all her life — and this apartment turned out to be the best decision of the whole trip. She had her coffee out there every morning and it made the birthday.
The location is hard to beat. The Historic Dockyard is a few minutes' walk, the Spinnaker Tower is practically next door, and Portsmouth Harbour station is close enough that we walked to it with luggage on the way out. Shops and restaurants at Gunwharf are right downstairs. The apartment itself was clean, warm and genuinely comfortable for four adults — not a squeeze.
Special thanks to Barry, who was helpful and easy to deal with from the first message and sorted everything out for us. Much appreciated.
Only one small thing: in the en-suite bathroom off the bedroom, the water temperature is tricky to control — it swings between hot and cold and is hard to settle. Didn't spoil anything, but worth a look.

The apartment was perfectly situated and had amazing views across to the harbor and beyond. It was beautifully appointed, very clean, and the owner had set up a spare bed as requested.
A welcome pack of a couple of tea bags & small amount of milk would have been welcome.

Barry who met us was great, very helpful and friendly
A couple of minor niggles the kitchen flip top bin didn't work properly and had the wrong liner, and the settees although attractive weren't very comfortable.

Ideally located and excellent parking.
It was not clean. There were stains on the carpet and taps were highly stained. Crockery was dirty and had to be thoroughly cleaned as had been put away unwashed. Mirrors were smeared with hand marks and the coffee table was unclean. The toaster was full of crumbs. Tiles in en-suite were not clean. The place needed a thorough clean but overall looked a little “tired”.
