Location was ideal.

The location was okay and the building was nice. There are some lovely restaurants close by and its a short walk into the centre of Portsmouth.

There was a lot of noise each evening as there was a square outside which had a outdoor restaurant with a band playing each night. If I never here "Roll out the barrels" again I will be very happy. Between the band and the noisy patrons it was difficult to sleep. I was awoken during the night and the early hours of the morning as loud groups of people left surrounding venues. The second bedroom was small and instead of putting a sensible single bed in the room there was an uncomfortable double which meant there was nowhere to store luggage. Probably ok for a weekend escape but we were travelling for nearly five weeks through England and had suitcases.
