About this cabin rental
This lovely, lakefront, log cabin is privately situated on ten acres featuring shade trees, open fields and 200 feet of sandy Lake Huron frontage. This 3600 square foot year round home has spectacular views of the lake from most rooms. Huge two-story great room features natural stone-covered fireplace and floor to ceiling windows-perfect for watching the sunrise over Lake Huron. Kitchen features corian countertops and large eating area. First floor den has TV/DVD and doorwall that leads to secluded deck. First floor bedrooms have king-size beds with smaller twin beds in the same rooms. Second floor bedrooms have 2 Queen-size and one double bed respectively. Second floor loft overlooks great room. All bedrooms are carpeted. Ceramic tile in bathrooms on first floor. First floor laundry room. Basement offers large recreation room with pool table, ping pong table, and cable TV. The living room, dining room and kitchen overlook beautiful Lake Huron. Most bedrooms have new mattresses! This property is uniquely suited for small retreats, workshops, family reunions and weddings. It is especially quiet, and the beach nearly deserted. Note: Our property is located in a residential area. There are strict noise ordinances that do not allow any loud music past 10:30pm. First violation of noise ordinance will result in loss of damage deposit. the second violation of noise ordinance will result in termination of lease. WEDDINGS: the maximum number of guests allowed for a wedding is 100 for the log home and 125 if both homes are rented. if you wish to have a tent and/or a DJ they must be from the homeowners recommended list. What a fun place! This lodge was the perfect property for our large family holiday gathering. We had plenty of sleep space, and the great room was large enough to accomodate all of us at one time. And the views of Lake Huron out of the huge back windows were fantastic.
For those earlier reviewers commenting on the water... you just need to be patient. It did take a few minutes to get the hot water flowing upstairs in the hall bath, but I dont think that's out of the ordinary for a lodge this size.
Everthing was well stocked and provided. All in all, a great rental. If anything, a few cookie sheets and pots could use a good scrubbing, but nothing to get worked up about. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

The house was beautiful, the lake access was enjoyed by all. The house had plenty of areas for sleeping, with open space in the basement for activities. The patio area was very cozy, perfect to start and end the day with a view. The house was stocked with all the needed essentials, like glasses, plates and serving utensils which made cooking for the group very easy. Thank you so much!

We had a big family Thanksgiving. The property was perfect. Nice size yard, cute beach and the house was wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

This is our 4th time doing a ladies retreat here. It has everything you need and and sleeps 20 comfortably. Great view of the water and because of the big window you can watch the sun rise.

We rented both the log cabin and red house for a long weekend to host a small wedding. Everything was perfect. Houses were just as advertised and we had plenty of room for our 30 guests to not only enjoy the wedding, but also sleep comfortably. The mix of a little woodsy and on the water made for some awesome pictures. We will definitely be returning to this property and already looking forward to it. Thank you Peter for everything!

First, let me say the view, property and beach were exactly as advertised. The house itself was not; it was more like a camp. We walked into a house with about 20 flys in the kitchen. The rugs were disgusting, the covers on the uncomfortable futons that were used instead of sofas, were very stained, the entire place was dusty, and the dining area was fold out chairs around a sticky oilcloth table covering. Ewww. Even with all of that, we could have salvaged a great time. Unfortunately, the first of the real problems was: the dryer didn’t work. We were told it was the first he was hearing of it, which I found hard to believe since there were hard moldy clothes inside. Luckily, for us anyway, my sister rented the house next door and we were able to use hers. The next problem was when we decided to take showers. There was no hot water. I called, left a message, and didn’t hear back. So, off we went to take showers at my sisters rental. The next day, the owner advised 14 minutes is how long it takes for the water to heat up for a shower. I suppose he assumed this was something not worth sharing, however, it worked after 14 minutes sometimes, sometimes not. Another issue we ran into is that a microwave is listed as an amenity, yet there wasn’t one. He said it had just broken and sent someone over with one. It didn’t work. I was glad my sister was in the next house because we probably would’ve ended up leaving, but it was not what either of us bargained on, nor paid for.

Everything was great. The location and view were perfect. Communication with property manager was prompt and check in was simple and easy. Would highly recommend this location.

Our extended family enjoyed their stay. Multiple spaces for kids to play and adults to hang out and converse.
Beach, although a little stony, was great. Recommend water shoes for the adults, the kids didn’t seem to care(it certainly didn’t slow them down). Everyone had a great time, so we plan on coming back next year!! Only problem was the low bandwidth of the Wi-Fi (would recommend a booster) but with so much to do outside, it wasn’t a major issue.

Our family of 8 adults and 9 kids stayed here in July, 2023. This place is great. Plenty of room inside and out to spread out or to gather together. A short few steps down the bluff and you’re right on the beach. Fantastic location just 4 miles north of downtown Lexington. We made most of our meals at the house and found the kitchen very well stocked. The large basement with table tennis and pool was a nice addition.
Check in and check out was smooth and easy. We would highly recommend.

We had an amazing long weekend over Easter at this cabin located on Lake Huron in Lexington. The beach was beautiful and private and we really enjoyed it even in the off season. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed, so many sleeping options. We would stay here again. We had fun exploring the other beaches and parks around as well.

Unfortunately, because of blizzard conditions, we lost power the first day we arrived. The caretaker was very responsive, having hooked up a portable generator within the hour! We felt we had great service and had a wonderful time during our stay.

We rented the cabin and red cottage for our wedding weekend. Both properties were well-maintained. The location is beautiful, and the host was quick to answer the few questions we had throughout the weekend. We look forward to visiting in the future!

We, as a group, we totally satisfied with this property. It was more than adequate for our group. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils that you would need.
The younger generation enjoyed the ping pong table and had a couple of tournaments. The lake was perfect and so was the fire pit. Our only regret is that it is not available for us in 2023!

This place is not a five star property. This place needs a deep clean inside and out, and a maintenance day too. The deck overlooking the water is great, but underneath it's literally full of piles trash. There is a reason there aren't many pictures. The carpets upstairs are quite stained. There is a window in the basement without a lock (safety). The downstairs tub/shower doesn't work correctly. The 2x4 pieces of wood nailed to the banister are coming loose on the stairs. The dishwasher is messed up. Where do I stop? I think I can sum this property up like this: the guest book for signatures has been full and needing replacement since 2013! Think about that. That's how little the property manager seems to care that they can not be bothered to replace a guestbook that's been sitting full on the front desk for 9 years.

This place was perfect for our multigenerational family reunion. Lots of space inside and out; everything we needed at hand; and just beautiful serene surroundings. The host was accessible and accommodating and everything was as advertised. Our family of all ages had a wonderful time.

Great family week
Experienced a wonderful week at the log cabin. Kids swam in the lake, played volleyball on the lawn, had campfires every night. The one day of rain we had a ping pong tournament in the basement. Easy to use kitchen for our dine in nights and a big enough table for all 14 of us. Hoping to came back in 2024.

Relaxing with stunning views!
Beautiful property, beautiful log home! There were 12 of us ranging from ages of 14 to 66. Very spacious and roomy for all of us to spread out. The kitchen is amazing, the bedrooms are large. The great room is absolutely stunning. The basement provided plenty of entertainment with ping-pong, a pool table, and foosball.
It was over 90°, so the air conditioner had a very hard time keeping up. The upstairs was very hot. Bring fans.
The great room furniture could use updated. Not comfortable.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay and the owner was responsive to our needs.

We had a long overdue family vacation. Multiple members and ages. Everyone enjoyed the property immensely. It is very roomy and comfortable. There were lots of things for the kiddos and us older ones enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake. Amazingly it's dog friendly also!! Thank you for hosting us!

I’m a bit late in posting this review but we had a great time on our visit at the Log House last August. The house is spacious so everyone is not on top of each other and there’s plenty of table room in the kitchen for our family to eat drink and just chill! We also love walking the beach and swimming. Looking for beach glass is one of our favorite things to do and we do find some. Great memories to take home!
