What a friendly hotel. Welcomed by the owner (before the normal check in time) and shown to a spacious, clean and well presented bedroom. All that we needed. And the breakfast room is very impressive - light and airy and the food choice was great. So much so that I didn't miss my cooked breakfast! Staff very attentive and friendly - both from the breakfast team and the cleaners.
The entrance of the hotel and the internal stairs look like they need a bit of tlc, which isn't uncommon for similar older properties - but the bedrooms are not like this! This minor observation would not stop us recommending the hotel.

The location was excellent and close to a lovely walk along the path by the sea. There are a number of good restaurants nearby. The continental breakfast was well presented and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean. Well done Westward Ho!

Everything was great! The room is spotless, and you can enjoy a wonderful sea view right from the window. The area is really lovely, and the staff are so kind and welcoming.
The bed had a spring mattress; we prefer a firmer one. I don't think that's a negative review, because everyone has a preferred mattress type. We slept well, so it definitely isn't a negative point.
