Location. The room with a sea view. Quiet. Good staff.
Uncomfortable Pillows. Very high pillows.
No breakfast. The bar/ restaurant facilities are not available. (Anyway we have good options around.)

We had a room with balcony and sea view which was beautiful every morning and evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had enough storage space. Enough mirrors for getting ready in the room. Easy location to other areas of Folkstone.
Although I can see the hotel has had a small change in decor it still looks really outdated. The balcony and chairs are rusty, the room wasn’t cleaned well enough as under the bathroom sink on the floor was dusty and looked mouldy green. The plumping system in the toilet needs fixing as each time toilet flushed made a noise of collecting water. Our room had a mouse trap behind the bed which was unpleasant and there was not enough pillows and the blanket was too thin. The radiators didn’t come on when switched on and the shower stand in the bathroom looked like it was going to fall off the wall. Understandably the building is old so can hear people walking around the hotel as the floor boards creek and can hear people shouting at the front of the hotel sometimes. In the bar area the pool table has been removed and was given Guinness from a can as there was none in the tap behind the bar. When you walk past the reception there is an area with a curtain which you can see through and it’s beds which looks really ugly and unprofessional for the hotel.

Location
No free parking or permits offered. We had to walk to another hotel to get one. Its ridiculous you have to search and search for parking when you stay at this hotel, as cars will stay in one place for the whole weekend. If you have a balcony room, be wary as its not separated per individual room. Its one long balcony.
