Outstanding accommodation in a great location with an amazing view.

Great location and garden. Quiet, within easy reach of a couple of cafes/ bars. Lovely walks from the door.

Schönes Ferienhaus mit spektakulärem Blick.

Wunderschöne Lage mit fantastischem Blick zum Sonnenuntergang und auch Aufgang. Sehr sauber. Eigener Pool. Es stand ein Hochstuhl und ein einfaches Reisebett mit Faltmatte zur Verfügung. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, bei Regen kann man überdacht draußen sitzen. Sehr sehr zuvorkommender Vermieter, der uns mit dem Gepäck geholfen und uns eigentlich jeden Tag mir frischem Obst/ Gemüse überrascht hat. Alles hat sehr unkompliziert per Whatsapp funktioniert und wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Man muss als Familie mit Baby einfach wissen, dass der Weg zum Haus schon sehr steil ist, gerade wenn man ein Wickelrucksack/ Wanderrucksack, Baby und vllt. Einkäufe nach unten/ oben tragen muss. Mit Kinderwagen ist der Weg durch die Treppen nicht begehbar, wir hatten einen Reisekinderwagen und haben ihn einfach im Auto gelassen. Somit war es kein Problem. Auch bei Regen ist es mitunter sehr rutschig.

Einfach nur großartig!

Die Aussicht und die ganze Anlage des Hauses ist einfach herrlich. Besser geht es nich! Die Sonnen auf und Untergänge sind unbezahlbar. Auch die Ausgangslage für Ausflüge ist top. Wir konnten die ganze Insel von dort aus mit Tagesausflügen erkunden. Der Besitzer ist ein unheimlich netter und zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Er brachte uns frische Eier , Avocados und Bananen aus eigenem Anbau, super lecker ! :)

If the stay went really fast it means it was very good :)

Amazing view, local garden you can use. The host was super helpful and had a great character. Grocery stores and a few local cafe's nearby. The house actually looked better than in the photos which is very rare :)

There were some ants really trying to get inside.

Stunning views and beautiful house

Amazing views from the beautiful gardens. A lovely breeze at the pool and more sheltered at the house for colder days. The house had everything. Just be aware there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms...the unit is situated in the open plan living area. Comfy beds and good quality bedding. Our host left a fabulous food basket of eggs, wine, bananas and cookies. He also left custard apples which are fab. It is a 5 min drive to Calheta with many restaurants and a pingo doce for groceries. We had some great weather for the time of year.

The only small negative was the steep path and steps to reach the house. I am overweight and unfit and found them hard going. My hubby is slim and fitter and found them okay. It is a small price to pay for the location and stunning views and also no traffic noise.

Holiday home in paradise

It was the best holiday home we have ever been. The owner is very friendly, helpful and gave us fruits, vegetables and eggs for free. It was very clean and the facilities are spacious and very well equipped. The view is absolutely stunning and one feels like in paradise. Thanks so much for this great experience!

Exceptional stay

The property had everything we needed including a washing machine coffe maker excellent barbercue facilities,this was the best place i have ever stayed to relax,no noise around the property the host is very friendly and helpfull,allways with a smille in is face when we ask for anything,the property is a five minute walk from the street where we park the car but that is what made it so quiet and the sea and mountain views are just amazing,cant fault this property or the host in anyway,will be coming back soon and some of my friends will be booking this property for next year,well recomended,thank you

Great stay on an amazing island

Duarte was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived, he had supplied us with fresh corn and eggs. Both were very delicious. House is very nice with a superb view to the ocean and the island. I strongly recommend to stay with Duarte!

House with amazing garden with sea and mountain view

Casa Sol e Vista was amazing. We loved the garden with the palms, bananas, pool, sunbeds and amazing views to the ocean and also to the mountains. The house is very comfortable, has 2 big bedrooms, living room, kitchen with everything you need to cook. There is also a fireplace in the garden house where you can grill and eat. The location of the house on the hill above the ocean is amazing, but you need a car to get there, parking is easy on the street. Duarte is super friendly host, he helped us with our luggage and we had always fresh eggs and bananas from him. We wish we would have a better weather and could spend more time in the garden...Hopefully next time! We can definitely recommend this place :)

Nice property with beautiful view of the ocean. Amazing garden with pool and barbecue place. Host provided fresh tomato, eggs and other welcome gifts.

A bit of walk from the road to the house but nothing severe.
