Returning after 13 years we were a bit concerned about the stories of heavy over-tourism in Ubud. However we were very happy that things have not changed at all at Alan Jiwa. The quiet and relaxing vibe is still there. Shutting the exit to the monkey forest on the Alan Jiwa side may have helped. Although the staff have changed they are just as welcoming and friendly as before. The breakfast is still fantastic, plentiful and very flexibility on choice made it very personalised. Securing the ruce paddies from development at the back was a really good move.
Can’t wait to return!

True Balinese feeling and close to nature. Staff always with a smile and willing to help when asked. The pool was also amazing and so relaxing to play with kids without having a big crowd sharing the pool.
Due to heavy rain for part of our stay the roof was leaking and soaked the sun beds inside the house. Had to pull out everything to dry but still the smell and dumbness was there for the rest of our stay. Again this place is as close to nature and you can get in Ubud.
