Thank you for being super flexible with a last-minute booking when all the flights from the island were cancelled. Lúcia is super helpful and great at communicating. We had a very relaxing stay and could rest well after a long day.

I first stayed at this hostel back in 2017, when I had a single room on the top floor with access to the rooftop. I really enjoyed that stay — it felt unique and even a bit gothic, which made the experience memorable.
This time, in 2025, I came with a friend and we booked a twin room. Overall, it was fine for a short two-day stay. However, a few things stood out. The button locks on the doors quickly became annoying to use, and they didn’t feel very secure — anyone who knows the code could get in, even if that’s unlikely. Regular keys would honestly be more convenient.
As in many hostels, there’s a lot of activity in the common areas and hallways. On our first night, for example, we were woken up at 5 AM by another guest loudly slamming doors. The constant movement in the kitchen and lounge also made it difficult to fully relax or enjoy privacy. Of course, that’s part of the hostel experience, not a hotel or apartment, so it’s understandable.
In short: it’s a decent place to stay if you’re looking for a social hostel atmosphere, but not ideal if you want peace and quiet.

Tactical position in order to reach the city center.
Kitchen well equipped.
Stable wifi.
Aged building with very thin walls. It means much noise during early morning.
Very little room and bathroom

The location, and the staff was very responsive when we contacted them.
The bathroom was very small, and both the room and the bathroom smelled of dampness. The mattresses and pillows were old and not very comfortable. We also found a cockroach in the room one day.
