Hotel Suramerica is directly across the street from the metro, which makes getting around the city a breeze. My room was affordable. The air conditioner worked well. The staff was friendly. The neighborhood around the hotel is nice with plenty of restaurants. Estadio Atanasio Girardot and the athletic complex around it is a short walk away. Easy to get taxis outside the hotel. There's a big Jumbo grocery store across the street and an Exito a short walk away. Wifi was good in my room.
The street the hotel is on is busy and loud. You also hear the metro when it is running. Staff does not speak english, which is understandable. My room did not have a window, nor a dresser, nor a safe. Shower quickly ran out of hot water. Water pressure was mediocre. My room was also not cleaned once during my four night stay.
