Novovento

I loved the owner Emilie - so approachable, knowledgeable. She wasn't only there to run her business - far more than that She makes everyone welcome, sharing her produce from her garden. Emilie links her island community - fishermen, butcher, musicians - with tourists Emilie gives everyone space and care in a very balanced way. The most homely place I have been to while traveling.

All was great 😃 cannot thing of anything that I didn't enjoy. The promotion of togetherness and then we all had a shelf to share food, drinks was the best. You can arrive hungry, thirsty, and there is always something and someone to help you 💞

Lovely spot well located with a nice owner. A great common space to meet and well equipped. Rooms comfortable and facilities were all very clean.

Guesthouse run by a energic Frenchwoman who moved from Paris and settled in Azores. For those who don't mind a little communal living with meeting other visitors, there is plenty of space for socializing, a place to work (good internet) and study, and to sit in the large and carefully maintained garden, which is also inhabited by two chickens and a small dog. The owner keeps the entire house and garden as clean and tidy as the cold and humid Azorean climate allows. You should expect a small loss of privacy, but the friendly and inspiring environment of Novovento will more than make up for it. Every evaluation is certainly subjective and depends on preferences. For us (couple 60yrs), the stay was extremely pleasant and enriching.

When the weather is colder, count with colder house.

Emily was amazing and the place has a great location close to Sete Cidades and some beautiful hikes, sunset spots, hot springs far from the crowd. I will definitely come back!:)
