Spacious bedroom with lots of pillows. A great breakfast (warm bread, freshly made smoothies) with a lovely, attentive employee.
The arrival was disappointing, with the instructions to phone them if they’re not around… well that was when I realized my Canadian roaming plan didn’t seem to be working for phone calls. We were luckily saved by another guest who had a phone that worked and he called for us. Otherwise not sure what we were to do — we were considering going around to the house to see if any owners were there?? Another guest arrived later and had the same problem.
Also, there was a private WC attached to the bedroom but the shower was downstairs, which I couldn’t find noted in the room description.

It’s a very welcoming place. The breakfast is wonderful! The owners are very kind and hospitable! Our family loves this place and highly recommends it!

Hildur and Siggi were excellent hosts and we will definitely stay here again in the future.
If you are exploring NE Iceland Grásteinn Guesthouse is in a great location.
