The hostel was very clean and everything was provided in the kitchen and showers, warm water and other supplies were also provided. In such a remote location WiFi was perfect, overall I think it justified the amount they charged.

We stayed in a family room in the hostel. It was a busy place with lots of other families, and a good location near the main sights of Lake Myvatn. The room itself is small and fairly sparse - what you would expect from a hostel, but it had all the basic amenities.
There is a large, busy kitchen where you can prepare meals, and an attached dining area. The kitchen itself can get very crowded so make sure you give yourself time to cook.
The arrival instructions were confusing - we did not realize we needed to go to a separate location to pick up our keys (look for the GPS coordinates buried in your confirmation message!), and they only staff reception until 8 pm, so make sure you factor that into your plans. The walls of the room also felt quite thin and flimsy - we could hear someone snoring in the next room over and had to use ear plugs to sleep!

Very good location to visit everything around. They offer a nice but not so cheap (4000 isk) breakfast in the adjacent building, just ask the day before at the reception.
There could have been more toilets for the amount of people that can stay there.

Good location
Small crowded rooms, doesn’t come with basic necessities like sheets (have to pay overprice to have some), harsh welcome: receptionist became irritated because I was confused after she asked me if I wanted electricity (I had booked a room in the hostel), better for less in other hostels in Iceland
