This was a wonderful place to stay during our trip around Iceland. It is a little off the beaten path, but the peaceful setting overlooking the lake made the extra drive well worth it. The quiet surroundings provided a relaxing break from the busier tourist areas.
We stayed in the Family Room with a shared bathroom, which was a modestly sized three-bedroom accommodation that worked well for our family. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The shared facilities were decent, and the kitchen was well equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. The outdoor hot tub was a great bonus and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.
The self check-in process was simple, and free parking made coming and going easy. Although it's a bit removed from the main road, the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere made it one of the more memorable places we stayed during our trip.
Overall, this is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a quiet, comfortable stay surrounded by nature. We would happily stay here again.
One small suggestion would be to provide designated or partitioned refrigerator space for each room, as we've seen in similar types of accommodations. We only stayed one night, but some of the food we had stored in the shared refrigerator appeared to have been taken by other guests. We don't view this as a fault of the property, but having clearly assigned storage areas might help reduce the likelihood of this happening in the future.

Another great stay in an out-of-the-way place. I think we were only one of two guest parties staying that night, and they were in the other building, so it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. It is on a farm along a river, and the view is absolutely stunning. We had a family room, and it had shared showering facilities, but since there really was no one else there, it was like we had our own facilities. I can see where if it were more occupied, it would be a little less private, but for us, it was perfect. A full kitchen area, a spacious dining hall, a nice porch, and, as I said, a beautiful view! Location, view on the lake and easy + nice communication with owners/staff members. Easy self-check-in
wifi was not available, kitchen wasn't very well-equipped. Quite loud during evening/night. The room was a little damp.
