Great location, breakfast and staff

The Location was really close to the sights around Myvatn and next to a lava field. We really liked the breakfast buffet, they even had vegan options. Also it was possible to cook our own dinner at the kitchen of the hostel which was nice.

Exceptional

Great place to hunt for northern lights. Cosy room, although very small. Super hot radiators, which in winter saved our life :). Although the breakfast is in the village, there was a common room opposite our building where there were tables and all necessary kitchen facilities to prepare your own meal or something hot to drink. Very well equipped. We came late at night, the reception was closed, but the room key was left for us plus directions to the room. Breakfast in the village restaurant very nice. The place is right behind the post office (google maps show you a route round the whole village, don't know why).

It was pretty cold in the bathroom (nearly windy close to the floor).

The stuff was very friendly and the breakfast was really good. the location is close to everything

Nice room, smelly water

Good breakfast. Kitchen was fine.

Warm water and the sink really smell like sulphur because it's water from the hot springs. We didn't like showering in this water.

Exceptional

Beds were very comfortable, (indeed every where we've stayed in Iceland has had very comfortable beds), room/bathroom very clean and tidy. Breakfast was great, buffet style continental with a good/tasty range of food. Our room faced out onto the lava field, literally 10m from the door.

Room has Parfum smells like toilet Parfum. Small room …no room to open the luggage. Old cottage, you hear so well what neighborhood speaking.

overall excellent experience

excellent location; rooms are on the actual lava rocks. comfortable bed, no fridge but the temperature was sufficient to cool anything. the breakfast was delicious with traditional Icelandic lava bread served with smoked trout. great choice of other options too.

A great surprise - small but very clean, convenient & friendly place to stay. Surrounds = beautiful

The location is awesome and easy to get to, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was convenient as it was right next door however we could hear staff get things ready in the morning (not really a huge issue). The room was quite small however was very clean, cozy and fit the bill. We were also able to access the common room /kitchen at the hostel which was a nice perk

Rooms were a bit on the small side. There was a shelf above the bed which made it dangerous to sit up and read while in bed. There were no other places in the room to really relax... only sleep.

Very good

A nice room with somewhat little space in a very good location to explore the area around MyVatn. The breakfast was included and the buffet was very good. Also you get a nice terrasse for sitting outside.

Very little room for luggage (best to leave your big bags in the car).

Great stay near lake Myvatn

We really enjoyed our stay in the hut as it was warm and comfortable. The location not far from lake Myvatn is great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Check-in at the campsite was very easy (with this wind, we were very happy not having to stay in a tent...) Best of all of course was the breakfast - it was excellent and even had lava bread!

The hut was very small (for the price) and it wasn't always that easy to move around the bed.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable.

Room and facilities were exceptionally clean. Breakfast was way better than we expected--lots of choices including pancakes and smoked salmon. Great service. Great location. They let us use the shared kitchen.

Stayed before, still keeping up the standards!

Nice little "hut" for a room - self contained room & bathroom. Parking beside the hut. Breakfast was very nice.
