It was conveniently close to the port and a welcomed stay before our long journey . We also enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was not bad either. Bed was comfy and there is a definite feeling if energy and wellbeing. The staff were all very smiley and happy.
Our room was stated as ‘not ready’ on the check yourself in machine. We had to use a person to find out why because we arrived at 10 pm! Apparently the TV was not working, which was disappointing. However, my husband wrangled a free nightcap at the bar in compensation, which they were very happy to accommodate. The room was so small there was nowhere to put our rucksacks! Good job we didn’t bring cases! Also they have glass screens to separate the bathroom from the room and there is a button to frost the glass for privacy. However you can still see into the room from the bathroom as the door doesn’t’frost’ Luckily we have been married for many years but It was a bit off-putting seeing your other half wandering around the room while you are concentrating on the throne! Maybe we would use The Village again if we wanted a pool but not because of the room.
