The very warm, friendly welcome. The feeling of still being at home. The immediate sense of peace. The place is well loved and taken care of. All the beauty of nature that surrounds the house and the use of wood to build the house and structures has a strong energy that makes you feel the place. Sitting on the private balcony having a BBQ for dinner and enjoying breakfast / coffee listening to nature surrounded by beautiful scenery and trees. The hot tub was a great way to relax on the deck located outside our door was another tick in the box. Absolutely family friendly or singles/ couples. Shout out to the owner Leonnie & her mate Salt, a lovely host.
There was nothing i didnt like. My absolute favourite place I have stayed at so far in my travels.

Breakfast is where you need to mix your own ready mix batter pancake mix and make that yourself. It was really awesome with the cockatoos sitting on the same deck and feeding, while you overlook the beautiful views. It was seriously awesome. Also if you do not want to have pancakes the town offers amazing places for having a brekkie
At the Buddha room, I would have like more lights at the steps towards the shared bathroom. It was at night time a bit dark and could not see all the steps

The welcome, room size, fully equipped kitchen, hot tub, 2 room apartment with wardrobe, big comfy couch, we liked the oriental theme and water margin mural. The washing facilities were really useful.
Not at all a problem but the bathroom was not en suite but was next door but this is being really picky....robes were provided.

The host is very nice and kind and the house and the shared areas are quite good
It’s quite far from Airlie beach and with poor public transport connection. You have to either walk 35min uphill (very steep as the house is on top of a hill) or take a cab - we took 4 cabs for a 2 night stay which we didn’t budget in when we booked
