Creepy. Convenient only if a heavy sleeper and a pit spot.

Location. Staff welcome.

Not enough pillows. 1 low one each. Very noisy unit outside our room turning on/ out all night. 2 hours sleep :( Noisy floors do you here anytime another room gets up on night. Dusty under bed caused sneezing. Had geckos everywhere treading on them in bedroom and falling on us in the shower! General feeling of creepy.

a character filled stay in an inexpensive old hotel

these rooms and corridors have such character - beautifully maintained floors. Lovely to go out onto the balcony and see the steam from the sugar mill. And that special caramel smell! Amenities are adequate, camp kitchen is the best! As for the shop in the alleyway - wow!

wouldn’t bother again

it was easy to access from the highway

it was boarderline dilapidated. the floor surface is very uneven and if a person was slightly unsure on their feet, it’s an accident waiting to happen.

An enjoyable overnight stay with a friendly relaxed atmosphere.

although the building has a lot of history, you don’t miss out on comfort or convenience.

the shared bathrooms still have some renovation to complete.

Room was good, everything else very sketchy

Nice bed, spacious room.

The receptionist did not know anything about public transport to the airport and when i did ask for a taxi they got me a friend of theirs who was probalbly just drinking some beers in the bar. It was really sketchy and as a young woman I did not feel very comfortable.

Very good

Much cheaper accommodation to get to whitehaven. With 40 min bus taking you straight there. Shops in 5 mins walk and pub down stairs wasn't noisy in rooms at all

Oven wasn't working at the time but had other facilities to cook with

a basic stay close to the train station for early departures

very comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff

very loud but it’s above a pub so to be expected. the lovely receptionist moved us to a much quieter room. shared bathrooms were a bit basic.

My room was beautiful unfortunately I was very very sick the night I stayed but cannot fault the staff or facilities highly recommend the prince of wales hotel it is budget friendly and overall a very nice place to stay

Cheap and comfy but a little seedy

DON'T BOOK WITH BOOKING.COM, got there only to be told they do not accept Booking.com reservations, lucky they had empty rooms otherwise we were sleeping in the car, odd munber rooms heaps nicer but tv, aircon and good beds for $70.00

Cigarette smoke is everywhere upstairs, it has full time tenants that sit outside the rooms smoking, plus some dodgy types lurking around late at night, 1 Asian guy wanted to know if my wife was staying on her own, bit sus.

Great value with helpful management

This property is well located and close to everything Rooms and bathrooms spotlessly clean. A good restaurant that’s frequented by the local town folk. The manager was very kind and gave us a huge upgrade to an adjoining room as I was travelling with my son. Support this wonderful establishment when you visit Proserpine!

The location is great close to everything. Airport PPP about 15 minute drive. Only 1 minute to the main supermarket,2 minutes from Whitsundays council offices. It’s across the road from the post office,police station and courthouse. Friendly helpful happy staff. A good restaurant serving a variety of honest good food with friendly interactive staff. The rooms are comfortable well appointed and spotlessly clean. The shower is excellent with a shower head the size of a pizza box! And all this for $70 ...no brainer people!

$70 rooms, you get what you get. Bed, fridge, tv, aircon , shared toilets & showers.

Smoking area for pub is downstairs from rooms and wafts upstairs, gross. Close your room door and its ok.

The location is central to all the people we like to visit, next time we will book in for two weeks.

The staff were very friendly and helped us organise transport to the train station for next morning. We ate at their bistro that Friday night where the food was excellent! There was a band playing that night which added to the great atmosphere - the room and bed were so comfortable we slept like logs. It might be an old country pub but we were impressed by the high standard of cleanliness.

Smoke smell in the room as you are allowed to smoke on balcony. No big saucepans to cook.
