We loved everything about the Lodge! The staff was very helpful with great communication prior to arrival and prompt, friendly service during our stay. Our room was spacious, modern, well designed with vaulted ceilings, large patio door looking onto the private deck and large open field. We heard birds singing each morning! The unit had a kitchenette area with microwave, refrigerator, coffee and tea maker. There is shared kitchen available for guests with a dining area, deck, outdoor cooking equipment, full kitchen that was beautifully designed. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and dining in this shared space. There is a outdoor hot tub available for guests to reserve. We enjoyed three nights using the hot tub and viewing the stars. The location in Marahau is a perfect place to start your Abel Tasman Park adventures. Once we arrived by car, we walked everywhere to dinner, along the beach, walked to take the venues for the water taxi to the Park and to start our kayak adventure in the Park. There are three excellent restaurants in Marahau: Park Cafe, Hooked, and Fat Tui. If you plan to cook, bring in supplies from the nearest town, Motueka. The lodge, Marahau and Abel Tasman Park were all highlights of our New Zealand adventure.

Great location for exploring the Abel Tasman Trail. Very comfortable and clean rooms with access to a well stocked communal kitchen. Very scenic sitting areas outside the room.

Top rated hotel and deservedly so. We appreciated the sense of humour and the accommodation was great. Loved how all the staff had a write up in the welcome book including the dogs. I now want more of this and can see it turning into a sort of top trumps for NZ accommodation. Let’s make it happen
