Beautiful location on the banks of the Nile.
Not far from the public ferry and close to some lovely little restaurants.
Very helpful owners: early ferry and assistance with carrying luggage to the ferry.

Marta and Osama are both super sweet, interesting, and caring hosts.
They have several animals - a lovely old black dog and a whole bunch of cats - who are all adorable.
Their garden opens out onto the Nile, where you can go for a swim. They offer you to borrow their kayaks.
They have two levels of roof deck to enjoy a cold drink and soak up the sun. They serve alcoholic beers.
They offer homemade Italian and Egyptian dishes, but you have to order in advance.
The room had a guide for all useful information for our stay and restaurants, monuments, etc. in the local area.
Wifi worked fine.
You must pay for the room and any food/drinks in cash. They accept USD and EGP.
Room has a fan and AC and a fridge with water bottles in it.

On the charming and quiet Elephantine island, this guesthouse is a a joy. Owners are so gentle and kind, making us packed lunch for our last day and giving us tips on where to eat in town. Short ferry ride into town (5minute walk to the ferry on a dirt road so don’t bring wheely bags!) Beautiful view over the Botanical gardens at sunset. Rooms simple,
Clean, comfortable.
For those less mobile it’s hard to get to but that didn’t bother us.

Clean cozy and have protection from the mosquito
Need to mention the shower is not that strong, also u need to take slippers, toothpaste and brush, and better shampoo with body lotion to have a good stay. These days the island can be cold at 5 am but hot when u get asleep.
