Staying at Kato Waidi in the Nubian Village was a great choice! Much more peaceful and authentic than the centre of Aswan, it was a wonderful way to experience Nubian culture and local community life.
One of the highlights was the swimming pool. We visited in early September, when it was extremely hot, so having a pool to cool off in was absolutely perfect.
What made this stay truly special was the feeling of being part of the local community. After a few days, people in the village already knew us and were happy that we had chosen to stay there for several days. It was lovely to experience Nubian culture and everyday life in such a welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and always willing to organise everything for us, which made our stay very easy and enjoyable. We also recommend taking a boat trip with FOFO, a very friendly local gentleman!
If you want to experience Nubian culture, enjoy a peaceful setting and connect with the local community, we highly recommend staying here.

The view was really nice, the building is really nice and cozy
we got an overpriced tour on a boat and transfer to the airport. Moreover, we ate twice: the first was amazing, while the second time the chicken we ordered was, unfortunately, completely burnt.
