This was the first place Mom and I stayed during our trip in Iceland. We had had a long day before that (landing, exploring Reykjavik, and soaking in some mud baths), so by the time we made it to the hostel, we were pooped. The staff were incredibly friendly and the check in was easy. Mom wasn’t super familiar with shared bathrooms, but thought the shared shower was excellent. We also didn’t hear any of our room neighbors. Best of all, though, was the breakfast in the morning. It was hearty and included everything from fried eggs to bacon to Icelandic yogurt and fruit. We loved being able to fill out bellies before heading out for the day, and so would highly recommend!

good location along the ring road, functional space with two shared bathrooms for 4 room
all the guests were super clean so we had no problem with sharing facilities

A super comfy room and great bathrooms. We were worried about sharing them, but it caused no issue. The rooms themselves have a kettle and sink for you to use as well which was very handy!
It was the perfect place to crash before or after doing a trip to landmannalaugar
We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious!
It was a bit hard to find. It would be great if the check-in instructions had detailed instructions on how to get there.
