If you want a place outside of a city, this cannot be beat. Quiet, pastoral, and off the beaten path. The property is gorgeous, with fields of horses nearby, a beautiful reading sun room, and delightful decor that evokes your grandparent's house. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus respite to soothe our legs after a long day of traveling around the Golden Circle.
If we were to visit again and stay in the area, this would be our first choice.
Some nits about the listing:
* It indicates that there are private bathrooms but they are indeed shared bathrooms. Perhaps it's a language/translation issue (like maybe they meant it's a single-person use locking bathroom) but it was important when we were booking--that said the bathrooms were in good shape.
* It also indicates there is a seasonal swimming pool, but there was no swimming pool to be found.
Other than that, the only negative I can find is that the walls are pretty thin and so you will be able to hear what's going on in the neighboring rooms.
In our trip, this was the 7th most expensive accommodation out of 9 total but was probably the 4th best, making it a phenomenal value and HIGHLY recommended.

I stayed in 6 guesthouses during my trip to Iceland and I think this was my favorite. My room was small but clean and comfortable. I had requested a quiet room and got what I think was probably the quietest they have, which was great, and the location itself is in a quiet area. There are many very homey and comfy areas, where I sat in the evening getting work done and relaxing. The kitchen and common areas are very spacious. The wifi was decent (I had a little buffering while trying to take a video call but better than in some other guesthouses), and it was nice to have a desk in the space. The price-to-quality ratio was probably the best I experienced in Iceland.
Would be great to have a bit more storage in the room, including some additional flat surfaces, though I think the other rooms were better in this regard. It's worth noting that there's really not much at all nearby, so you need to come prepared with your food.

We loved everything about this place, two large kitchens, very lovely and clean living quarters, common living areas and outdoor spaces, guests are quiet and friendly. Above all, great price for the value! Found it the last minute after my previous booking in Selfoss cancelled on me. We are so grateful for this place, love it! 👍
