The Globe Inn

The Hotel was vibrant, busy and well organised. Food was excellent. Staff friendly.

We were not advised by Booking.com that the hotel was fully booked and therefore we were sent away from the vibrancy of the hotel and village to the Arch’s. As the weather was good - this was not a problem but poor weather would have changed our opinion. Not advised it was upstairs - at 82 I struggled! No shaver in the bathroom ! No reduction in cost - not worth £600+ Will not be using the Globe again

Travelled for a wedding nearby. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good.

Everything was very good.

Great location just 5 mins walk to the docks and walkable to the beach. Very dog friendly and the staff were lovely. The restaurant food was excellent as was the breakfast.

Clean, aesthetically pleasing.

12 inch step to get into the bathroom, which made the top of door frame at face level. Shower head kept falling off and was too heavy and quite dangerous to feet. Breakfast was awful. We decided to skip and eat at a cafe in town. Breakfast included is therefore not a bargain at this property. On arrival, after spending at least an hour trying to find and park at The Globe, we were told (without apology) that we had been allocated a room at their other facility-The Arch House. We were told we had been notified of this change by text and email. When we checked, the notification had been sent while we were driving there, so shouldn’t have been looking at our phones. Yes, we were notified (not asked) about the change, but the notification came too late. Fortunately, we are fit and healthy, so walking about 6-8 mins down the road for breakfast was not a big deal.
