Photos looked like bells & whistles…. In Reality, was so far away from anything like that

The location was perfect for my work trip. The owner did change the bedding very quickly when I showed him the crusty stains on the bed sheet.

I travel the country staying in independent hotels and guest houses because I feel it’s a way of supporting families and their business….. on this occasion I wish I’d have got to the local sticky carpet travel lodge. The filthy carpets on the stairs & in the bathroom. The crusty stains on the bedsheet, the mould around the shower, the loose tiles on the bathroom floor. No tea or coffee facilities in room ( really lame reason as well ) TV had a fault on the screen & Amazon stick didn’t work properly. At £103.50 a night…… it’s about £90.00 over priced in my opinion. Invest in a carpet wash/cleaning machine and Stanley blade to cut away mouldy sealant around shower tray and a tube of mastic to make good….. not a nice stay at all didn’t want to sleep in the bed after the stains and slept on top of the quilt fully clothed.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Everything was perfect from room to host to the village.

Our room was absolutely beautiful, spacious and clean. The bed was large and we had the best sleep in it.

Brilliant stay…the host was so pleasant and i enjoyed my room loads!

Loved how home like it was.

it felt really damaged and had things broken or had to alter how to use does when it came to opening doors and switches etc. seemed like things just needed repairing.

Room was very basic bed mattress felt very old normal double bed when I'm sure when I was selecting the bed on booking it gave me the option of extra large double bed

A quick visit, good for one night stay food lovely, needs to do something with the bed.

Host was nice and very helpful, breakfast was wonderful.great location for walking out for evening meal.

Bed was different, not very comfortable. No we're to put things in bathroom, and no hand towels.

Disappointing

Disappointing attitude from the owner. We asked to change date shortly after we booked and he completely refused to help accommodate us at all. Yes it may have been outside the cancellation period but what a money grabbing way to run a business.

Enjoyable

Really impressed with how the owner, Pete, goes out of his way to assist and help. As a former Breconian I appreciated just how close Cribyn Lodge is to local amentites etc. Quiet location, too with access to a magnificent view of the Brecon Beacons.

A very enjoyable stay. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Lovely big bed, and a nice room . Very peaceful. Pete very helpful and informative, making an effort to make it a pleasant stay. Just try not to burn the bacon! 😁

We enjoyed our 2 night stay.

The property was very well located within Brecon and the excellent directions in the pre arrival information took us straight to it. Pete gave us a very warm welcome and introduced us to Cribyn Lodge. That level of helpfulness and friendliness was a feature of our stay. Our en suite room was a good size and had everything we needed. There was plenty of choice for breakfasts and the quality was excellent. Whilst there, we both enjoyed a very relaxing and professionally delivered massage.

Exceptional

We loved that big room that was nicely presented with a big TV. We had an ensuite bathroom. The owner was very kind and friendly. He invited us for dinner on Christmas night as we weren't able to find any restaurant. It was very kind of him. Gave us guide about the area.

Great stay and all the extra little touches were much appreciated.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Friendly greeting from Pete, good communication. Very helpful in recommendations for where to eat. Very comfy bed and warm bedroom. Pete cooked us a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Would love to come back.

Great base for exploring Brecon

Everything! Pete was fab! Lots of communication prior to the stay, info on how to get there, massage services etc. We were arriving a little early, so he rushed around to make sure the room was ready for us. So helpful and accommodating. Whole place was spotless, well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was just across the hall and was HUGE! Perfect placement for exploring the town, on site parking. Breakfast was fabulous, perfect way to set up our journey home. Really couldn't have asked for more!

That I didn't have time for any of the massage treatments. Obviously, my own fault. Nothing wrong with the stay.
